ROUND TABLE TALES || Ser Geraint

Fiction (12-18) Young Adults   •   06 Jan 2026

Sir Geraint, a prince of Devon and son of King Erbin, was known for his noble character and heroic deeds. He rose to prominence through his valor in battle and was counted among Arthur’s most respected knights. His love story with Lady Enid, chronicled in “Geraint and Enid,” is one of the most enduring romances in Arthurian literature.

The tale explores themes of misunderstanding, loyalty, and redemption. Geraint, wrongly suspecting Enid of infidelity, tests her devotion by subjecting her to dangerous travels while forbidding her to speak. Despite the hardships, Enid’s unwavering love ultimately restores their bond.

In battle, Geraint was known for his formidable skill and courage. He defended Arthur’s kingdom from invading forces and upheld justice in the western realms. His later years saw him retreat from courtly life to rule peacefully in Devon.

Geraint’s life ends either in a quiet death due to illness or during a final act of valor in some versions. His legacy is that of a chivalrous warrior tempered by love, a knight who grew through his faults and was ultimately redeemed by trust.

Geraint’s enemies are not dragons or curses, but pride, silence, jealousy, and fear of losing love.
Danger escalates through misunderstanding and mistrust, and the emotional stakes become as perilous as any battlefield.
